How close is Cedar Trail to Fort Benning?
The drive from the park to the back gate of Fort Benning takes about 5 minutes. Downtown Columbus and Phenix City are each about 14 miles away.
Is Fort Benning the same as Fort Moore?
Yes. The post was named Fort Moore from May 2023 until March 2025, when it was renamed Fort Benning. Orders, maps, and older listings may still use either name.
What hookups do you offer?
Every site has full hookups: water, sewer, and 20, 30, and 50 amp electric service.
What kind of sites do you have?
We have 85 large back-in sites. The pads are big enough for long fifth wheels and motorhomes, and each site has room for your RV plus 2 vehicles.
Is there extra parking?
Each site includes parking for your RV and 2 vehicles. If you need room for a boat, trailer, or work truck, ask the manager before you arrive.
What are your rates?
$40 a night, $150 a week, and $395 a month. See the rates page for what each stay includes.
Is electric included with a monthly stay?
Every monthly stay comes with 750 kWh of electric free each month. For many of our guests, that covers the entire month, so there's no power bill at all. If you use more than 750 kWh, you pay only for the extra, at exactly the per-kWh rate the park pays the electric co-op. No markup.
Do you take contractors and work crews?
Yes. A lot of our long-term guests are contractors working on Fort Benning, at the Mahrt paper mill in Cottonton, and on jobs around Columbus and Phenix City. Each site has room for your RV plus 2 vehicles. Bringing a crew? Call (334) 650-5979 to line up several sites. See contractor stays.

Can I reserve in advance?
Yes, online or by phone. During busy PCS months and big plant shutdowns, we recommend booking as early as you can.
Do you allow long-term stays?
Absolutely. Many of our guests stay month to month. Call (334) 650-5979 to set up a long-term stay, or see monthly RV sites.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Pets must be on a leash and with their owner when outside. Pets can't be left tied out on a chain or allowed to roam the park.
Is the park gated?
Yes. Cedar Trail is a gated park. You'll get access details when you check in.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in and check-out are both at 1:00 pm.
